Skiathos main base marina is located 5 minutes by taxi from the airport, and is 2 minutes away from the main shopping streets. Shops, restaurants, bars and tavernas are all just a few minutes away from your boat. Your taxi driver can drop you off at your boat or at one of the sailing cafes directly opposite the harbour. There are no mooring lines in any of the island harbours. You can berth your boat with the stern or prow to the quay using the anchor. Fuel, water and provisions are all easily available from the quay or the main street.

Drop anchor at any of the popular beaches: Koukounaries, Lalaria, Kastro or Megali Amos.

Skopelos harbour, located on the north side of the island, is also very close to the main shopping streets and restaurants. Another favourite anchorage is Panormos on the west coast of the island. There is no quay here. You will have to drop anchor in the middle of the bay and tie a mooring line to shore. You will need to use your dingy to visit the beach or the tavernas. Agnondas to the south of the island has a small quay. Dock alongside in good weather conditions but avoid it if the wind is changing.

Alonissos main harbour is Patitiri, to the south of the island. Anchor off the quay but be warned that it is often difficult to find berthing space during the busy season. You may have to tie up alongside other boats. Steni Vala is a delightful little fishing village directly opposite the island of Peristera. Dock here overnight and savour the delicious dishes with fresh lobster.

Other islands travelling north to the minor islands, you will find some bays to anchor in but boats are restricted from entering the National Marine Park near to Piperi. Most of these islands are uninhabited so make sure you have provisions and fuel.

Volos, Trikeri and Orei - You could head towards the main land and visit the small fishing village Ag.Kiriaki at Trikeri, or Orei on the northern coast of Evia, or you could continue into the Gulf of Volos (Pegasitikos kolpos) to visit a number of beautiful beaches and villages: Trikeri island, Milina, or go onto the main city of Thessaly - Volos, from where, according to legend, Jason set sail in the Argo.
